The convenient location on Lake Veere has led to Kortgene strongly developing into a tourist area over the past few years. During high season, it gets lively and busy with its fun shops, great restaurants, and large marina. There are various hiking and cycling trails and you can take the ferry to Wolphaartdijk. The northern and eastern sides of Noord Beveland border on the Oosterschelde nature reserve, which is the largest in the Netherlands. For beach lovers, Banjaard beach in Kamperland is 12 kilometres away.
