The Hanseatic City of Zutphen is about 10 km away. Around the old centre of the city there are the old battlements which are still visible in many places. In the heart of the city you will see the stately merchants houses and picturesque courtyards. Zutphen offers numerous sights and an expansive array of shops. In the summer, it is lovely to linger on the terraces on the IJssel in the town centre.

The famous meadow landscape in the Achterhoek in Geldern invites you to take long walks and cycling trips. The Achtkastelen route is a cycling route along eight castles through varied landscape in the area around Vorden.
The smallest historical town in Netherlands, Bronkhorst, is located about 5 km away and is definitely worth a visit.
